This role is responsible for ensuring suppliers are prepared for material demands at a new battery park manufacturing facility. It involves coordinating end-to-end material planning and logistics, managing inventory, monitoring material flow, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining compliance with safety, transportation, and quality standards. The role collaborates with suppliers, production, and warehouse teams to resolve issues, optimize inventory, support forecasting, and drive continuous improvement in material handling and logistics processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Launch suppliers with material planning and logistics readiness to support BlueOval Battery Michigan Pack plant demand
  2. Coordinate end-to-end material flow from suppliers to plant, ensuring on-time delivery
  3. Monitor material movement, inventory levels, and system accuracy
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally (suppliers, production, warehouse) to ensure smooth operations
  5. Ensure compliance with safety, transportation, and quality standards

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years experience in material control, logistics, or supply chain
  • 5+ years experience inventory management systems, ERP tools (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Continuous improvement background (Lean Six Sigma or similar)
  • Leadership potential to guide teams or manage external partners
  • Familiarity with global logistics and transportation regulations, import and export operations
