This role focuses on material estimating and pricing for government satellite systems and space missions. Responsibilities include developing complex estimates, preparing cost volumes, building pricing models, performing risk analysis, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. What you'd actually do

  1. Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
  2. Leads development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
  3. Leads business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing
  4. Builds and develops complex pricing models
  5. Leads and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, driven, etc.)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience performing cost estimating/pricing function

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in at least one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
  • Experience working in multifaceted and diverse teams across multiple functions
  • Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
  • Experience working under tight deadlines with competing priorities
  • Experience with the proposal process and using data analysis to drive decision making
  • Experience with United States Government (USG) Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
