Material Program Manager

This role is for a Material Program Manager at RTX, responsible for managing supply chain tasks for production, depot, and sustainment contracts. The position involves acting as a liaison between the program and the supply base, managing supplier relationships, ensuring material requirements are met, and overseeing financial aspects like EACs. The role requires strong program management, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a focus on cost, schedule, and quality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee performance of domestic and international supply bases to include performance, quality, affordability, and delivery
  2. Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs and requirements
  3. Lead robust and challenging negotiations across the supplier base to meet the Program objectives
  4. Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
  5. Have frequent engagement with PMO and our Customer through execution of the contract

Skills

Required

  • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a supply chain role such as procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and/or finance
  • Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management

Nice to have

  • Material sales forecasting experience
  • Experience negotiating multiple contract types (FFP, CP, etc)
  • Prior work experience with Earned Value Management, primarily EACs, and its processes, and tools
