Material Program Manager for the SM3-IIA program at RTX, responsible for bridging Supply Chain and the Program Team. The role involves developing material strategies aligned with program requirements, identifying at-risk components, and ensuring material readiness for production. Key duties include briefing leadership on supply chain status, supporting supplier negotiations, managing EACs, and identifying contract flow-downs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
  2. Support supplier negotiations and drive PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives
  3. Contribute to timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) to include Risk & Opportunity management
  4. Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtain any required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications (TCMs).
  5. Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs).

Skills

Required

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing
  • Experience working with Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.

Nice to have

  • CORE or similar Six Sigma Specialist
  • Proposals/Estimating and/or Basis of Estimates (BOEs) experience
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)
  • Execution experience of multiple program and contract types (i.e EMD, LRIP, FRP, Cost and Fixed Price)
