Material Program Manager for RTX, a defense company, responsible for advising on material strategies, coordinating program material plans, supporting proposal activities, and partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations. Requires experience with SAP, supplier management, and a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities
  2. Responsible for supporting the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives
  3. Early supplier involvement that is focused on strategic sourcing initiatives
  4. Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets
  5. Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP)

Skills

Required

  • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or related material planning tool/s
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a Supply Chain role and/or program/project management position
  • Experience working with suppliers in a program/project management role, and/or other capacity evaluating/tracking/managing supplier partnerships or performance.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Earned Value
  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience with Design to Cost and Cost Reduction Initiative activities
  • Experience with Proposals
  • Material Program Manager Certification level 4
