This role is for a Material Project Manager at Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company, focusing on supporting material strategies, managing cost and schedule lead times, identifying and mitigating program risks, and tracking material activities for national security space missions. The role involves Control Account Management, material requirements aggregation, make/buy strategy analysis, and supplier engagement. What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for supporting Control Account Management (CAM) activities associated with material including Baseline schedule & cost planning, providing IMS status, Estimates to Complete (ETC), Estimates At Complete (EAC), variance reporting, and other financial responsibilities
  2. Provide support in identifying material related risks and opportunities and developing mitigation plans
  3. Assist in aggregating all of engineering's material requirements, determining the strategy to procure items while design is matured, and translating it into Material Resource Planning (MRP) requirements
  4. Assisting engineering in design trades to determine make / buy strategies, supplier sourcing, and modifications to material to achieve requirements, cost, and schedule
  5. Perform analysis on material requirements to provide material program summaries that include lines of balance, issue identification, and other metrics relevant to the program scope

Skills

Required

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in material management, procurement, manufacturing or supply chain management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of material planning principles and supply chain best practices
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams, foster collaboration, and drive results
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data driven decisions
  • DoD or government experience
  • Experience in design development programs preferred
  • Experience on programs with EVMS requirements
