This role is a Material Requirements Planning Analyst responsible for planning and preparing production schedules, coordinating material requirements, identifying shortages, and advising management on work-in-progress status. It involves scheduling personnel and equipment, preparing work orders, coordinating with various departments, and resolving schedule/material problems. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience in a development, production, repair, or depot environment, with a preference for SAP or Costpoint ERP knowledge.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plans and prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Identify material shortage requirements and develop solutions to complex problems
  2. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
  3. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements to ensure timely and accurate material forecasting to support on-going activity
  4. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders
  5. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies

Skills

Required

  • BS degree with 5 years of experience or an MS degree with 3 years of experience. 9 years of experience are required in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in a Development, Production, Repair, and/or Depot environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills required for determining priorities, lead times, and shop floor schedules
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Suite; Excel, Work, PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and retain a US Govt. Secret Clearance
