The role is for a Material Planner (Materialdisponent) in the Supply Chain and Logistics department at Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH in Mannheim. The responsibilities include supporting the team lead, ensuring material availability, coordinating material requests, monitoring delivery performance, supporting the introduction of new tools and structures for material data and processes, implementing measures to improve delivery times, implementing forecasts with suppliers for capacity planning, creating and analyzing KPIs/Power BI dashboards for material planning processes, coordinating projects to improve material flow, implementing and monitoring production and process control through process controls, and supporting the setup and coordination of SOX controls for inventory and parts availability.

What you'd actually do

  1. Fachliche Unterstützung des Teamleiters bei der Führung des Teams in der abteilungsübergreifenden Koordination für Kaufteile, Eigenfertigungsteile und Stützfertigung
  2. Sicherstellung der Materialverfügbarkeit mit Fokus auf kritische A-Teile
  3. Koordination und Überwachung spezieller Materialanfragen insbesondere bei kurzfristigen Bauprogrammänderungen
  4. Überwachung und Sicherstellung der Lieferperformance (KPI)
  5. Unterstützung bei der Einführung neuer Tools und Strukturen zur Optimierung der Materialdaten und Prozesse

Skills

Required

  • Commercial apprenticeship with additional qualification as IHK specialist or comparable further training desirable
  • Professional experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness, high customer orientation, confident demeanor and convincing communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP R / 3
  • Fluent English (written and spoken, at least B2)
  • Fluent German (written and spoken, at least C1)

Nice to have

  • 6-Sigma or project management skills are an advantage
