This role is for a Materials Program Manager at Intel, focusing on managing the supply chain for materials used in manufacturing. The responsibilities include translating market dynamics into strategies for materials planning, risk mitigation, and cost optimization, coordinating material acquisition for new product introductions and high-volume manufacturing, and collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in supply chain, business, or engineering, with experience in Material Requirements Planning, risk management, and supply chain strategy.

What you'd actually do

  1. Translate manufacturing and market dynamics into actionable strategies for materials planning, risk mitigation, and total cost optimization.
  2. Coordinate and monitor the acquisition of materials to support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs/projects and enable ramp readiness for transition to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
  3. Collaborate with suppliers to execute contractual requirements, drive performance improvements, optimize costs, and develop future operational strategies.
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams across project/program management, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to define customer demand and establish early raw materials requirements.
  5. Ensure bills of materials integrity, availability, cost, and quality objectives are set and achieved.

Required

  • Material Requirements Planning systems and tools
  • Risk management strategies related to materials planning and supply chain operations
  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize inventory and streamline operations
  • Knowledge of BOM management, cost benchmarking, and Engineering Change Order processes
