This role is for a Market Development Representative (MDR) at DocuSign, focused on generating new business through outbound calls and emails. The MDR will qualify prospective customers, align Docusign's product offerings to their needs, and schedule appointments for Account Executives. The role involves significant phone prospecting (80% of time), researching targeted accounts, and working closely with marketing on campaigns. What you'd actually do

  1. generate new business through outbound calls and targeted emails to potential clients
  2. qualifies prospective customers through targeted questions about their business strategy and then leverages this information to align and sell Docusign’s product offerings
  3. Make outbound calls to prospects who reside in one of Docusign’s core vertical markets, offering tailored solutions to solve and improve business process problems
  4. Schedule appointments between prospects and our Account Executives across SMB, Mid-Market or Enterprise verticalsnbsp
  5. Use CRM strategically to record information and identify further opportunities in your assigned territory

Skills

Required

  • Basic BA/BS degree or equivalent sales related experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a client or customer facing role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
