Mechanical Engineer

Crusoe · Data AI · Arvada, CO - US · Manufacturing (MFG)

This role is for a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on designing modular integrated electronics buildings and power distribution equipment for an AI infrastructure company. The role involves creating 3D models, fabrication drawings, ensuring code compliance, and collaborating with various teams. While the company is in the AI infrastructure space, the core function of this role is mechanical engineering, not AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Mechanical Design & Documentation: Design modular integrated buildings, low voltage switchboards, medium voltage switchgear, and critical power distribution equipment.
  2. Technical Documentation: Develop specification sheets, bills of materials (BOMs), detailed assembly instructions, and manufacturing documents with a high standard for accuracy.
  3. Detailed Drawings: Deliver accurate and timely shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and as-built drawings, ensuring traceability across projects.
  4. Code Compliance: Ensure product designs comply with regulatory requirements, commercial codes, customer specifications, and engineering standards.
  5. Quality Assurance: Participate in model reviews and drawing checks as part of the engineering design release process to ensure quality and design accuracy.
