What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical direction, execution, and oversight of tasks required for the design, development, and installation of production equipment and processes.
  2. Plan, design, develop, and implement assembly and test processes for new and existing products to ensure a flawless launch.
  3. Utilize lean methodologies and statistical analysis to ensure long-term capability and stability of new manufacturing equipment.
  4. Perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A) activities for both existing and new technologies.
  5. Develop processes focused on improving yield, throughput, and ergonomics while driving scrap reduction and error-proofing.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, including assembly operations
  • Strong experience in developing foundation documents (DFMEA, P-Diagram, B-Diagram, etc.)
  • Proficiency in CAD design software and engineering tools
  • Ability to manage manufacturing projects using Program and Project Management methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work various shifts and hours, including weekends

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, or Mechanical)
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of laser welding processes, materials, and technologies
  • Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • General knowledge of metal machining/grinding processes and NC machine programming
