Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Hardware Engineering : Mechanical Engineering : Design Support

Mechanical Engineer at Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, focusing on hardware design, integration of complex systems (thermal, RF, PCBAs, cabling), and supporting customer demonstrations. The role involves CAD, FEA, prototyping, and testing, with a requirement for US Person status and security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own hardware design from initial requirements through hand off to low-rate production.
  2. Lead technical efforts to define requirements, propose possible solutions, and establish a methodology for evaluating and verifying mechanical systems.
  3. Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop, assess, and optimize designs.
  4. Build prototypes, run analysis, define and execute hardware test plans.
  5. Work on designs that involve the tight integration of complex thermal solutions, RF hardware, PCBAs, and cabling/harnessing.
