Mechanical Engineer responsible for the integration and packaging of mechanical, electrical, and sensing subsystems within autonomous surface vessels. This role translates system designs into physically integrated, manufacturable, and serviceable hardware.

What you'd actually do

  1. Payload integration and mounting
  2. Electronics packaging and enclosure integration
  3. Sensor mounting, alignment, and protection systems
  4. Cable routing and harness management
  5. Mechanical interfaces between subsystems (brackets, mounts, bulkheads)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
  • 2+ years integrating mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with hardware packaging and subsystem integration
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD
  • Strong mechanical design fundamentals
  • Experience in prototype or production environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with electronics packaging or robotics systems
  • Familiarity with cable/harness design
  • Experience designing for harsh environments
  • Experience with maritime, aerospace, or defense systems
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
