Mechanical Engineer II

Mechanical Engineer responsible for the architecture, design, and testing of hardware systems for Peloton products, supporting product improvement and development initiatives across the entire product lifecycle.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with engineers to take on sustaining initiatives to help drive quality, reliability and margin improvements
  2. Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for components and assemblies
  3. Perform engineering analysis on designs including functional review, tolerance stack analysis, and manufacturability
  4. Write and execute test plans starting from early concept and document/communicate results to the cross-functional team
  5. Collaborate with adjacent development teams to ensure design success including concept testing, quality, industrial design, product management, and operations

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years mechanical design experience
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Sound engineering fundamentals in statics, dynamics, stress analysis, and material science
  • Experience with core manufacturing methods including sheet metal, injection molding, weldments, machining, and casting
  • Proficient in one 3D MCAD Package. Solidworks preferred
  • Experience with test and measurement tools

Nice to have

  • Design of Experiments (DOE) competency
  • CAE experience, FEA, Dynamic Simulation or Thermal
  • Experience with Windchill PLM
  • Proficiency in reading and applying GD&T
