Mechanical Engineer II on the Special Projects Team responsible for component, system, and full-vehicle prototypes and marketing/show vehicle builds. This role involves taking concepts from sketch to physical product quickly, working closely with fabrication teams, and iterating on designs based on changing requirements. The engineer will work on parts across all vehicle systems, supporting production development and non-production activities like custom vehicles for shows and first responders.

  2. Support these vehicle builds from design through release, fabrication, assembly and in field usage
  3. Engineer components that pull ahead production design to support early build timelines while demonstrating production concepts
  4. Utilize Catia to design structures, parts, brackets and other components including generating 2d drawings
  5. Determine when and where to select off-the-shelf content based on timeline, maturity and vehicle function
