Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate lighting and audio systems for an autonomous delivery robot, DOT. Responsibilities include end-to-end development of lighting systems, mechanical design and integration of audio systems, CAD modeling, cross-functional collaboration, vendor management, prototyping, testing, and validation. Requires experience in mechanical design, CAD, lighting/optical/mechatronic components, and audio component integration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own end-to-end development of DOT’s lighting systems
  2. Lead the mechanical design and integration of audio systems
  3. Translate product and UX requirements into robust mechanical designs that enable intuitive interaction through light and sound
  4. Develop detailed CAD models, assemblies, and production drawings, and drive design reviews
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with EE, firmware, industrial design, and product teams to ensure seamless system integration
