What you'd actually do

  1. Develop designs and release engineering for flight test instrumentation installations on test aircraft using computer aided design tools like CATIA & CREO
  2. Work with program engineering teams to develop requirements, process and tool solutions and integrate instrumentation installations with production designs
  3. Provide liaison engineering support during part fabrication/assembly, aircraft build, modification, test execution, and refurbishment phases
  4. Work closely with manufacturing engineers to define engineering bill of material, address procurement and producibility concerns and assist with proper sequencing of installations during the build phase
  5. Assist with defining wire diagrams for flight test data system hookups using tools like Mentor Graphics Capital

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 1+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
  • 1+ years of design or analysis experience on large fixed winged aircraft
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Nice to have

  • Experience using CATIA
  • Experience working with wiring diagrams and/or functional schematics
