Mechanical Team Manager

NVIDIA Networking is seeking a Mechanical Team Manager to lead a team of 10+ mechanical design engineers. The role involves defining priorities, creating project plans, allocating resources, and driving electro-mechanical and thermal design aspects for switches. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, resolving production issues, and performing risk assessments. Requires a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of experience (4+ in management), and expertise in liquid-cooled, sheetmetal, and electro-mechanical systems design, with strong CAD skills and high-volume manufacturing knowledge.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a team of 10+ mechanical design engineers.
  2. Define priorities, create project plans, and allocate resources for mechanical programs in coordination with Product Managers.
  3. Drive all electro-mechanical and thermal design aspects, of switches and ensure readiness of test and assembly infrastructure for high-volume manufacturing.
  4. Develop multiple early design concepts in fast-paced product development cycles.
  5. Lead task forces to investigate and resolve production issues, reliability concerns, and conduct failure analysis.

Skills

Required

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or higher
  • 8+ overall years of relevant experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams of engineers in R&D environment
  • developing, testing, and manufacturing liquid-cooled systems
  • Sheetmetal and electro-mechanical systems design
  • 3D CAD tools (Creo preferred)
  • designing components and systems for high-volume manufacturing technologies
  • quality and manufacturability for robust production
  • English and Hebrew communication skills
