Pay Rate and Schedule:
**The position includes a total wage of $26.98 /hour plus a comprehensive Day-One Benefit program. Total compensation includes a base hourly of $25.73/hr plus an additional shift differential of $1.25/hr. Paid weekly. Paid time-off: Vacation, holiday, and Winter Holiday. 401K matching AND additional 2-5% annual company contribution.
Openings available on **2nd shift: Monday – **_Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m._ Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. All initial communication and status updates will be via email.
Required Qualification for Consideration:
- 2 years' experience in a mechanic or assembly field, heavy equipment assembly, or technical school with a focus in a mechanical or manufacturing field.
- **Relevant experiences such as mechanical aptitude in a personal or professional setting must be described in application **
Top Candidates Will Have:
- 6 months minimum Caterpillar Paving experience
- Heavy assembly, manufacturing machines, Caterpillar manufacturing experience or automotive
- Intermediate or greater proficiency using electronic and digital devices and mediums
- Experience using mechanical tools including torque tools and operation of crane equipment
- Understanding of metric units, hydraulics and electrical components
- Good communication skills
Your Role Day to Day:
As a Mechanical Technician team member, you will support facility initiatives and daily tasks focused on people, safety, quality, velocity and cost. As a team member, you will be responsible for safely assembling heavy paving products according to model pictures and build instructions utilizing mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics and electrical components within allotted process time. You will work with team members on identifying, electronically documenting and communicating opportunities for improvement, communicating discrepancies, and recommending solutions. Work with limited supervision.

**Hours: **02:00PM-10:00PM CST
Compensation: L04; $25.73/hr plus an additional shift differential of $1.25/hr

**Work Environment & Physical Requirements Detail: **
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists. Lift up to 35 lbs frequently. Work at multiple heights. Climb on equipment, machines, ladders and various step stools. Stand for a minimum of 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks. Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures. Exposure magnets that may impact medical devices. Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees. Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting, and forward head and rotation of neck. Work in tight spaces. Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotating Use of fine motor skills. Use of hand tools including wrenches, air tools, drills, cutters, tie wrap guns, pneumatic, vibratory, etc. Includes ability to pull manual torque tools to torque requirements (at least 250 Newton meters or 185-foot pounds). Required Personal Protective Equipment: hearing protection, safety glasses, hand protection, and steel toed/metatarsal foot gear.

Summary Pay Range:
$25.73 - $33.08
