Medical Advisor/ Senior Medical Advisor - Immunology (12 Month Contract)

This role is for a Medical Advisor/Senior Medical Advisor in Immunology (focus on Rheumatology) at Johnson & Johnson. The primary responsibilities include providing medical leadership, developing and executing local medical affairs strategies, driving KOL engagement, scientific communication, medical education, and evidence/publication generation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing relationships with thought leaders, and ensuring medical accuracy and compliance in materials. It is a contract position for 12 months.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and execution of the local Medical Affairs strategy and tactical plan within the Rheumatology portfolio, ensuring alignment with overarching business priorities.
  2. Cross-functional collaboration providing medical leadership with in-depth therapeutic area expert knowledge to internal partners including but not limited to Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Operations, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) and Medical Excellence, and Regional and Global Medical affairs teams.
  3. Lead external stakeholder engagement by developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical societies and patient organisations.
  4. Drive evidence generation activities, including planning and oversight of investigator‑initiated trials, local studies and real‑world evidence projects; support publication and data‑dissemination strategies as required.
  5. Review and approve promotional, educational and disease state materials to ensure medical accuracy and compliance with relevant industry codes; provide medical input during concept development.
