Medical Director for Bladder Cancer within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division, focusing on providing clinical and scientific leadership, developing medical affairs tactics, and engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support the bladder cancer portfolio. Requires an MD, PhD, or PharmD with oncology and bladder cancer expertise, and experience in medical education and communication.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide Bladder Cancer subject matter expertise and represent US medical affairs on internal stakeholder/ project teams across key functional areas within the US GU Oncology business
  2. Develop scientific narrative, core asset themes, FaQ, Scientific platform, MSL material, Medical Communications and Scientific Exchange, Training and Development.
  3. Lead KOL engagement to gather insights to build the bladder cancer scientific narrative and material and develop strong KOL collaborations to ensure appropriate feedback is received on our program and strategy.
  4. Represent medical affairs in advisory boards, lead data presentation and facilitate discussions to solicit feedback to inform the medical medical strategy.
  5. Establish and foster relations with medical societies and patient advocacy organizations.

Skills

Required

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD
  • Oncology and Bladder cancer background
  • Pharmaceutical trial design and conduct (Phases II-IV)
  • Leading medical education
  • Medical communication
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Work in a matrix type environment

Nice to have

  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing and executing medical launch strategies
  • Experience developing congress strategies and prioritized KOL engagement
  • Proven track record of developing, presenting and publishing clinical studies

What the JD emphasized

  • PhD, PharmD or MD is required
  • Experience in leading medical education, medical communication is required
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required
  • Strong organizational skills are a must
