What you'd actually do

  1. Oversees development and execution of the Country Medical Affairs Plan.
  2. Translates Global Medical Goals and Strategies into tactics and solutions that support optimal scientific exchange aimed at helping improve patient outcomes and enhancing access.
  3. Supports execution of and quickly adapts tactical plans to local corporate needs.
  4. Coordinates with Regional Director Medical Affairs to implement Global and Regional Medical Strategy to local level bringing the local scientific and healthcare environment perspective to the Regional Medical Affairs team.
  5. Provides non-promotional, balanced, and reliable scientific information following company standards and local regulations.

Skills

Required

  • MD and/or PharmD
  • Two (2) or more years of clinical and/or research experience in a relevant disease area (vaccines, infectious diseases, and/or internal medicine), public health, or associated area.
  • Interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills demonstrated through stakeholder engagement, training, or advisory activities.
  • Experience with local (US/PR) pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory/reimbursement frameworks, and clinical research guidelines.
  • Prioritization skills with a record of aligning local decisions to broader corporate strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a network of scientific leaders and other key stakeholders (e.g., public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations).
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate information at country management level.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across functions in a matrix environment.
