Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison for Rheumatology and Dermatology in Johannesburg, South Africa. This role involves acting as a therapeutic area scientific expert, enhancing collaboration between Medical Affairs and stakeholders, communicating scientific data about J&J products, and contributing to the medical affairs plan. Requires a PhD, Masters, or Pharmacist degree with experience in the pharmaceutical industry or research, and strong scientific knowledge in the therapeutic area.

What you'd actually do

  1. To enhance the collaboration, support and communication between the local and Emerging Markets Medical Affairs Team and relevant cross-function stakeholders
  2. To discuss J&J products, treatment trends & clinical studies through high quality scientific communication with external stakeholders
  3. Contribute to realizing company strategic goals through execution of the medical affairs plan
  4. To keep abreast of the latest medical and scientific knowledge in the therapeutic area
  5. To develop and maintain a contact network with Leading Specialists

Skills

Required

  • Science degree: PhD, Masters or Pharmacist
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry or research company and with competency in a project management capacity.
  • Deep scientific knowledge on the therapeutic area
  • Excellent communication skills
