What you'd actually do

  1. Managing the branch's Wealth Management Client Associates and Service Support Staff
  2. Overseeing the daily operations of a Merrill branch office ensuring appropriate supervision and compliance to industry regulations, and policies and procedures
  3. Driving business growth by leading the service delivery model and wealth management banking strategy for their respective market
  4. Hiring, developing, and leading a team of cross-functional professionals to support Financial Advisor teams and deliver outstanding client service
  5. Coaching teams to deliver a modern, digital first service model focusing on exceeding the bank’s client service expectations and operational excellence goals

Skills

Required

  • SIE, Series 7 AND Series 66 (or Series 63 AND Series 65), Series 9 AND Series 10 (or Series 8) or equivalent licenses and Series 3, 31 licenses, if warranted
  • 5+ years professional experience

Nice to have

  • Current or previous Merrill Wealth Management experience
  • Self-motivated and client centric
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory and supervisory requirements and corporate policies and procedures
  • Investment product knowledge (i.e., 401K, Options, Annuities, Tax, Retirement Plans, Money Funds, Mutual Funds, Liabilities, Margin, Trust Operations, etc.)
  • Prior trend analysis experience
  • Strong customer service, problem resolution, and communication skills
  • Strong management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, monitor, influence, negotiate, supervise and delegate
