This role is for a Metro Build Program Manager at Microsoft, responsible for delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services like Azure, Office 365, Xbox, and OneDrive. What you'd actually do

  1. Establish good working relationships with all the Construction stakeholders
  2. Attend all Metro new build, expansion and retrofit project related design, construction, and commissioning meetings.
  3. Be the liaison between Construction and Operations (be the voice for Operations) and escalate any issues that could cause impact
  4. Participate in all Construction/Operations walk throughs, as well as routine construction inspections during the builds
  5. Coordinate and execute turnover operations, ensure turnover checklist is completed and validated, and all turnover artifacts are delivered on time.

Skills

Required

  • High School Qualification or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience working on large scale projects in an engineering and/or construction management role within critical environment OR equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field to Construction
  • 8+ years experience in critical environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU), or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)
  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 10+ years experience in critical environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)
