Boeing is seeking a Metrology & Test Equipment Services Lab Manager to lead a team of metrology engineers. The role involves managing test assets and metrology services throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring traceable measurements, and collaborating with business partners and leadership. Responsibilities include team leadership, technical oversight, and operational compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a team of metrology engineers as a part of MATES
  2. Establish rapport with, and serve as primary point of contact for key business partners
  3. Collaborate with peers across the enterprise, and the MATES leadership team
  4. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches
  5. Provide leadership and escalation support for resolution of complex technical issues impacting multiple labs / operational areas

Required

  • Leadership experience
  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Business partner relationship building
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to stand/walk for 6+ hours
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

What the JD emphasized

  • at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
