Mid-career Integrated Modular Avionics - Integration Engineer

This role focuses on the integration engineering of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) for transport category airplanes at Boeing Brazil. The engineer will translate requirements into system designs, lead testing and validation, support supplier performance, and manage the product lifecycle. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and experience in engineering integration and project management, with preferred experience in commercial airplane certification and systems development processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive the integration with internal and external stakeholders to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  2. Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  3. Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements and meet program goals.
  4. Helps to drive supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  5. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Skills

Required

  • Existing rights to work in Brazil
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
  • Registered or eligible to register with the engineering and agronomy and regional council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA)
  • Experience in Engineering Integration and Project Management

Nice to have

  • Experience with commercial airplane certification, audits, design review and supplier oversight activities
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment
  • Work experience with one of the following tools and methods (Jira, Azure, SAFE, Scrum, MS project, theory of constraints)
  • Experience as a system engineer throughout the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation
  • Experience in requirement management tools (DOORS or similar)
  • Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics and related standards like DO-297 and ARP 4754, ARP 4761
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering Design/Analysis using advanced Modelling & Simulation and Tools & Process development
