Mid-level Ground Systems Engineer - Millennium Space Systems

This role involves supporting and developing ground and mission control systems for small satellites, including designing, integrating, testing, and delivering software and hardware solutions. It also involves supporting proposal development and sustaining systems post-launch. The role is within the defense/aerospace sector, specifically for national security space missions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead definition of requirements for ground hardware and software
  2. Help manage customer relationships directly with trade studies, development and testing for meeting system’s mission requirements
  3. Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large-scale mission control systems
  4. Lead with other Millennium staff to support testing on components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurations
  5. Develop plans and procedures to integrate Millennium software applications into Government-furnished software and infrastructure

Skills

Required

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM related field
  • Comfortable communicating technical details verbally and in writing
  • Experience designing and integrating new ground systems

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or STEM related field
  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing and/or operating ground systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of validation/verification testing
  • Active clearance
