Mid-Level Industrial Engineer to support Fabrication South Carolina Aerostructures. Responsibilities include applying industrial engineering concepts to product, process, and services; reviewing plant layouts, capacity plans, and work flows; identifying new technologies for integration into production; designing and optimizing production systems; leading research and development of processes and tools to enhance performance, lower cost, and improve quality; reviewing facility modifications; evaluating assembly instructions; leading operations and execution planning; monitoring production and supply chain logistics; and ensuring compliance with safety and design standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Applies advanced industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.
  2. Reviews the development of complex plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.
  3. Identifies new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
  4. Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
  5. Reviews work flow design and analysis.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • 3 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, Fabrication and/or production environment.
  • 3 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering.
  • 3 or more years of experience working in a team environment.
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Boeing DCAC MRM Software
  • Experience with capacity planning and analysis
