This role focuses on administering and implementing US Industrial Security Standards, including managing personnel and material records, conducting security briefings, and ensuring compliance with regulations like NISPOM, SCI, and SAP. It involves using specific security databases and coordinating with various teams and government customers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Demonstrate proficiency with/utilize specific databases to determine personnel eligibility to access classified information – Joint Personnel Adjudication System/ Defense Information System for Security (JPAS/DISS), Scattered Castles, Joint Access Database Environment (JADE), Joint Adjudication Management System (JADS), Enterprise Security Systems (SIMS), and other databases and record-keeping repositories
  2. Conduct initial and recurring security briefings to cleared workforce members on topics such as critical program information, marking, safeguarding and destroying classified information, operations security, physical and communication security, and other security training as required
  3. Manage personnel records, classified material records and/or other sensitive records in order to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and correctness
  4. Conduct inventories and records reconciliation actions to ensure accuracy and accountability
  5. Prepare activity or program Concept of Operation (CONOPs) outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations; establish procedures for protecting, handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials

Skills

Required

  • Tier 5 Investigation (T5) or Continuous Vetting within the last 5 years
  • 3+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security, and/or other programmatic security-related field
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP)

Nice to have

  • CDSE, NSTI/SASSI or other Professional Certification in SAP Security, SCI Administration, ICD-705, JSIG/RMF, COMSEC, or related security certifications
  • Experience with Assistant Contractor Program Security Officer (A/CPSO) or Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer (A/CSSO)
  • Experience working in an SCI/SAP/aerospace security/intelligence community environment
  • Experience with NISPOM and DoD SAP manuals
  • Experience multi-tasking with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
