What you'd actually do

  1. Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  2. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  3. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  4. Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  5. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years working in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of ME processes and procedures including Manufacturing Execution System Computer Aided Process Planning
  • 3+ years’ experience working with manufacturing engineering planning systems such as MESci and/or GOLD
  • Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s)

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Experience with BDS production programs, products, and specifications
  • Experience in both assembly and fabrication environments
  • Experience in various disciplines such as electrical, structural, mechanical, systems, functional test
  • Competency in 2D/3D Model Based Work Instructions and PDM software
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
