Mid-level Software Systems Engineering Support Analyst

This role supports software testing and verification activities within the defense and aerospace sector. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining test documentation, compiling test results, analyzing test metrics, and performing project management functions for test activities. The role requires experience with technical documentation, program/project management, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Works with Software Test Engineers to create and maintain test plans, procedures, test cases, artifacts, metrics, and data, following applicable data privacy and security protocols and standards
  2. Compiles and documents test results, provide feedback on software design and functionality, and support resolution of defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities
  3. Defines, collects, analyzes, and reports software test metrics; synthesizes metrics into actionable insights and status briefings for program stakeholders
  4. Maintains budget and schedule accountability for assigned test activities
  5. Performs software project management functions across test and verification activities, coordinating with multifunctional teams and stakeholders

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • 4+ years' experience working with technical documentation
  • Experience With Program or Project Management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in defense and aerospace software development processes and practice
  • Experience with configuration management and collaboration tools, including CMPro, Sherlock, ClearCase, DOORS, Jira/Confluence, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master or equivalent agile facilitator
