Seeking a skilled Middleware Engineer with expertise in Ceph, OpenStack, and Linux Systems Administration to operate, improve, and scale critical infrastructure services. The role involves hands-on work across storage, cloud infrastructure, and operating systems, focusing on maintaining resilient platforms, improving operational efficiency through automation, and driving reliability gains.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support and maintain OpenStack infrastructure, ensuring stable integration with storage services while continuously contributing to the ongoing operation, improvement, and scalability of the platform.
  2. Administer and optimise Ceph storage clusters, overseeing cluster health, capacity planning, performance tuning, reliability, and all day-to-day operational responsibilities across the storage environment.
  3. Perform comprehensive Linux systems administration across infrastructure environments, including provisioning, configuration management, patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and full lifecycle management.
  4. Automate operational workflows using scripting languages and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible to drive consistency, scalability, and efficiency across Ceph, OpenStack, and Linux platforms.
  5. Troubleshoot complex, cross-platform infrastructure issues spanning storage, compute, networking, and operating systems — conducting thorough root-cause analysis and implementing long-term, sustainable improvements.
