Missile Software Requirements Task Lead

This role is for a Principal Systems Engineer at RTX, focusing on missile software requirements and development. It involves concept and requirements development, CONOPS development, algorithm optimization, functional analysis, and multi-disciplinary development for Air and Missile Defense Systems. The role requires experience in STEM fields, with a minimum of 8 years of experience, and specific experience in missiles, radar systems, requirements, software, hardware, or systems engineering. Experience in missile software/hardware design, system-level architecture, flight mission execution, and radar systems is preferred. The position is onsite in Tewksbury, MA, and requires an active U.S. government security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
  2. Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
  3. Algorithm optimization, research and development; trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system
  4. Functional analysis of real world and test data
  5. Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System

Skills

Required

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: missiles, radar systems, requirements, software, hardware, or systems engineering
