Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Mission Assurance Engineer to ensure customer and internal quality requirements are integrated into program plans and product drawings. The role involves collaborating with engineering and manufacturing, representing Mission Assurance at review boards, driving quality improvement concepts, performing root cause analysis, and supporting the quality management system. Experience with space systems, PCB design, and reading technical drawings is required, along with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Mission Assurance Engineer interprets customer technical and Mission Assurance requirements, and ensuring these requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications and product drawings.
  2. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  3. Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirement.
  4. Represents Mission Assurance at different review boards including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), & Material Review Board (MRB).
  5. Internal quality requirements, and ensure these requirements are integrated into program SOW’s, plans, quality plans, specifications, and product drawings.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience. (Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Experience on Space systems programs, such as payload, OR spacecraft bus, OR antenna, launch, OR ground systems, and/or operations and maintenance activities
  • Experience working with or supporting PCB/CCA design, fabrication, and/or test and verification
  • Experience supporting Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board
  • Experience supporting Engineering Review Board
  • Experience reading cabling drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics
  • Knowledge of PWB/PCB/CCA manufacturability

  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Direct program experience working with the following disciplines: Program Management Office, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, SEIT, and PM&P
  • Experience support Risk and Opportunity Management Board
  • Experience leading or supporting Failure Review Board
  • Experience coordinating the efforts of diverse stakeholders
  • Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
  • Experience with requirements management and the associated tools, i.e. DOORs
