Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer or Principal Mission Assurance Engineer in Clearfield, UT. This role focuses on ensuring mission success by monitoring program specifications, processes, and assessing program performance against contractual requirements. Responsibilities include developing inspection plans, participating in corrective action teams, processing nonconformances, and interfacing with various stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and experience in Quality Engineering or Mission Assurance are required, along with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and implement program quality inspection plans
  2. Work with the Engineering team to ensure that part requirements are correctly described and documented in the production work plans
  3. Participate with corrective action or improvement teams and promote the use of data to assist in the improvement effort
  4. Preparation of first article inspection packages for internal approval or presentation to the final customer
  5. Processing of MRB nonconformances

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's in Science Degree in a STEM discipline
  • Quality Engineering experience
  • Mission Assurance work experience
  • Knowledge of Inspection Plans
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspections
  • Ability to travel at least 10%
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Security Clearance

  • Prior aircraft manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings
  • Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
