Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring Mission Systems Computing Hardware Engineers for the E-7A Program in Tukwila, WA. The role involves designing, procuring, and integrating mission systems hardware, developing system requirements, designing hardware/software/interface specifications, testing and validation, monitoring supplier performance, and solving problems throughout the product lifecycle. The position also includes researching technology advances for business needs. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field and 3+ years of experience with mission systems hardware, plus FAA certification experience. Experience with Mission Computing Hardware is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops and documents complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  2. Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications.
  3. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  4. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  5. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 3+ years of experience with mission systems hardware.
  • Experience with FAA certification.

Nice to have

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Mission Computing Hardware.
