Mixed Signal Design Validation Engineer

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Santa Clara, CA

NVIDIA is seeking a Mixed Signal Design Validation Engineer to be responsible for the bring-up and characterization of high-speed mixed-signal circuits, and system validation of electro-optical transceivers. The role involves developing and implementing tests, debugging issues, and analyzing lab data. Responsibilities include building validation test suites, conducting characterization across variations, leading debugging efforts, providing feedback to designers, optimizing system performance through scripts, leading cross-functional discussions, developing tools for characterization and bring-up, and training new engineers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build validation test suites for high-speed I/Os and the analog circuits
  2. Conduct detailed characterization of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit blocks across process, voltage, and temperature variations, and correlate the data with simulations
  3. Lead and drive the debugging of technically challenging issues by devising creative solutions to sophisticated problems
  4. Provide feedback to analog circuit designers regarding silicon performance, design quality, and margins
  5. Build and run test scripts to optimize overall system performance
