Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineer

This role focuses on the design, development, and optimization of analog circuits for advanced process nodes within Intel's Central Engineering Group. The engineer will work on analog and mixed-signal IPs, create floorplans, simulate behavior models, develop and execute test plans, analyze test results, and optimize circuits for performance, power, area, and leakage. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and staying informed on emerging trends in analog circuit design are also key aspects of the role. The position requires a Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-1+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience, and proficiency in circuit simulation tools and analog circuit design principles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and build analog circuits in advanced process nodes for analog and mixed-signal IPs.
  2. Create floorplans, extract chip parameters, and simulate analog behavior models.
  3. Develop and execute test plans to verify design according to circuit and block microarchitecture specifications.
  4. Analyze test results to ensure functionality and alignment with power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to report design progress and resolve performance and circuit design issues.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 0-1+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation tools and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles, including power, performance, and area optimizations
  • Familiarity with advanced process nodes and their unique challenges

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
