This role is responsible for performing/overseeing trade booking and trade validation, including the analysis and resolution of a wide variety of complex products that may require special handling or exception reporting. The role supports ongoing trade maintenance and reporting as well as supporting the implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure and control environment. The role may also require handling of regulatory queries as well as participation in audit reviews. These individuals provide general team guidance and interact daily with senior trading personnel.

What you'd actually do

  1. Trade Validation – Timely and accurate management of trade capture process to ensure all trades are booked according to terms of underlying agreement in both Front-Office and down-stream applications
  2. Provide support to assigned trading desks – Support the Trading desk across all Trade Control related functions in a timely and accurate manner
  3. Ongoing Trade maintenance – Manage trade lifecycle events & perform trade amendments as required
  4. Investigate and resolve breaks – Work closely with Front and Back Office to resolve breaks (e.g. Cash, Collateral, Valuations, Documentation etc)
  5. Production of daily reports – Distribute Daily reports to the Trading desk, business partners and Senior Management (requiring a high level of attention to detail)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Math, Finance, Engineering or Tech
  • 3 years of line work experience in Middle Office or Trade Control
  • Proficient in MS Office – particularly Excel
  • Excellent ability to work in a team and with a wide user group across multiple functions
  • Good attention to detail and drive to ensure necessary work is completed to a high standard
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Ability to work diligently, independently and prioritize multiple demands
