Northrop Grumman is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program. The role involves contributing to modeling and simulation products for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), requiring experience in strongly typed languages like C++ or Java, software development principles, and debugging complex systems. A Secret security clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
  2. Experience in strongly typed languages such as C, C++, or JAVA (C++ highly preferred)
  3. Experience with other software languages such as ADA or Python
  4. Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket
  5. Experience developing software using Object Oriented Design or SOLID principles

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • Experience in strongly typed languages (C, C++, JAVA)
  • Experience with other software languages (ADA, Python)
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite
  • Experience with software version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
  • Experience developing software using Object Oriented Design or SOLID principles
  • Experience developing modeling and simulation software
  • Experience debugging complex software systems
  • Familiarity with MBSE requirements derivation
  • Ability to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
  • Current active in-scope US Government issued Secret security clearance

  • Experience developing software for iTEx
  • Experience working with OSF (Objective Simulation Framework)
  • Experience working with GTISS (Ground Test Integrated System Simulation)
