Northrop Grumman is seeking a Modeling Simulation and Analysis Engineer to join their Systems Engineering team. The role involves leading teams to conduct research, develop models and scenarios, and perform analysis of various system types across multiple domains. Responsibilities include developing software and analytical tools, integrating simulation frameworks, performing trade studies, and assessing mission effectiveness. The position requires a STEM degree, 2 years of experience, a Secret clearance, and scripting experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead teams in technical execution systems analysis and simulation tasks/projects.
  2. Develop software and analytical tools to model behavior of systems in real-time and constructive simulations.
  3. Develop, integrate, and use advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.
  4. Model operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and recommends alternative architectures.
  5. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a STEM discipline
  • 2 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering OR Master's Degree and 0 years of related professional/military experience
  • active US Government Secret or higher clearance
  • scripting experience with tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, Java, or experience conducting software-based trade studies

Nice to have

  • Operational military background or experience in any of the following: Fighter or Bomber Pilot, Electronic Warfare Officer/Weapons Systems Officer, Air Battle Manager, Intelligence Officer, Joint Duty Officer
  • Familiarity with AGILE, MBSE, and/or system architecture.
  • Experience with version control tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Gitlab, etc.).
