Modification Electrician - Kc-46 Boom Shop

This role involves installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, modifying, and repairing aircraft electrical systems and associated wiring for the KC-46 Tanker. Responsibilities include working with detail parts, assemblies, electrical components, and performing functional tests. The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience with electrical systems and wiring diagrams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, modify and repair various aircraft electrical system, associated wiring to support certification and delivery for new airplanes.
  2. Obtain and verify detail parts, standards and assemblies were issued correctly and are free of visible defects.
  3. Incorporate changes to aircraft to reconfigure for customer and/or vendor requirements.
  4. Remove, replace, adjust and/or install equipment racks, power panels and various aircraft components/assemblies (e.g., light assemblies, transmitter, position sensors, and switches).
  5. Fabricate and install replacement wires as necessary for rework applications by ordering correct wire stock, terminals, and plugs.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 1 year directly related work experience in performing complete operational testing of electrical systems.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with wiring diagrams and system schematics.

Nice to have

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working around live aircraft and flight operations.
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated knowledge and experience with routing electrical wires and assembly.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience with commercial and/or military aircraft.
