Module Equipment Technician (contract)

The role involves performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include setup, calibration, preventative maintenance, monitoring data to improve tool performance, creating reports, and supporting engineering experiments and equipment configuration changes. The goal is to maintain and improve module availability and performance targets.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  2. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.
  3. Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs when needed.
  4. Monitors and analyses all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues.
  5. Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipment maintenance/performance.

Skills

Required

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related technical field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant technical experience preferred
  • Work in shift - 12 hours with rotation day and night weekly
  • Able to stand long during working hours
  • Able to support OT when needed during festival and holiday seasons
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic systems
