What you'd actually do

  1. Establish and manage lab testing processes while ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct complex analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes.
  3. Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
  4. Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
  5. Write material test program plans, lab reports, and associated support paperwork per established guidelines and methods, to characterize the materials' physical, chemical and mechanical properties, processing attributes and safety considerations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 1+ years’ working with composites and/or composite manufacturing
  • Intermediate competency level in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze data, summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data source

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a lab environment
  • Failure analysis / destructive testing
  • Experience with performance and analysis of mechanical testing
  • Knowledge of adhesive materials (such as epoxy, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, etc) and processes
