Msat Assistant Scientist (6 Month Contract)

This role is for an MSAT Assistant Scientist with a 6-month contract in the Manufacturing Science and Technology Department at Johnson & Johnson's Italian production plant. The primary responsibilities involve leading and executing cleaning validation projects, supporting new product introductions, lifecycle management, and base business operations. The role requires coordinating activities with various departments, managing change control, supporting investigations, and communicating with suppliers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a relevant field, some experience in the chemical/cosmetic/pharmaceutical industry, and strong problem-solving and project management skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead cleaning validation projects at Latina, supporting New product Introduction, Life Cycle Management and Base Business
  2. Executes and coordinates cleaning validation exercises
  3. Support validation specialists in executing cleaning validations according to validation plan.
  4. Provides input to develop cleaning validation protocols, reports and other related documents.
  5. Coordinate activities with the manufacturing personnel, laboratories and other groups to perform cleaning validation runs and tests.

Skills

Required

  • Master Degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, CTF or Chemistry
  • At least 3/6 months of experience in chemical/cosmetic/pharmaceutical industry (ideally in Oral Solid production)
  • Fluent in English (B2 level and above)
  • Ability to work in a multidepartment and dynamic environment and to deal with urgencies on the shop floor
  • Strong skills of ownership and accountability
  • Problem-solving, decision making and project management skills
  • Ability to lead calls with customers
  • Ability to easily connect with people and prepare smart proposals for project approaches.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of SAP/ eLims/ Comet will be considered as a nice-to-have
