This role is for an MTS Analog Design Engineer at AMD, focusing on designing, developing, and testing analog and mixed-signal integrated circuitry for AMD's products. The engineer will work on circuit design, layout, simulation, testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processor performance. The role requires experience with advanced design flows, verification methodologies, EDA software, ASIC design tools, and high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuit design for DDR technology and CMOS technology.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, modify, and test analog and mixed signal components/integrated circuitry for AMD’s existing products and new product initiatives, and related hardware systems.
  2. Use required technologies and methodologies to simulate and test mixed-signal designs.
  3. Track signal performance and evaluate technical data to provide strategic recommendations and technical solutions to complex problems in performance and speed of AMD processors.
  4. Participate in collaborative multi-system projects related to enhancing the speed, efficiency, and performance of AMD’s processors.
  5. Complete ownership of analog mixed-signal circuit blocks in CPU/GPU designs in cutting edge FinFet technology nodes.

Required

  • Working with advanced design flows and verification methodologies to ensure complex, mixed-signal chips meet specifications before manufacturing
  • Overseeing the entire product development cycle for analog integrated circuits (ICs), from initial product definition and architectural design through to manufacturing release and post-production support
  • Architecting and designing analog and mixed-signal circuits using advanced Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software
  • Utilizing ASIC design tools for synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis (STA)
  • Designing, verifying, and testing high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits (PHYs) for DDR technology
  • Designing the layout of analog integrated circuits (ICs) in CMOS technology
  • Submicron analog circuit design for reliability
