Mts Silicon Design Engineer

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Austin, TX · Engineering

This role is for an MTS Silicon Design Engineer at AMD, focusing on the definition, design, verification, and documentation of ASIC development. The engineer will determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, contributing to multi-dimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits. Responsibilities include evaluating the entire process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing/power analysis, as well as analyzing equipment and conducting experimental tests. The role requires utilizing knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, to resolve complex issues and applying engineering principles to product design, development, and testing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define, design, verify, and create documentation for ASIC development.
  2. Determine architecture design, logic design and system simulation.
  3. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.
  4. Contribute to the development of multi-dimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.
  5. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route and timing and power use.
