Salesforce is seeking a MuleSoft Account Executive for Federal Civilian (DoI) in McLean, Virginia. This role focuses on driving new business and engaging with existing customers to sell MuleSoft, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. The Account Executive will develop opportunities through leads and prospecting, create account strategies aligned with customer objectives, coordinate internal resources, and drive growth within assigned accounts. The role requires a strong focus on pipe generation and outcome over process. Preferred qualifications include extensive software sales experience, experience with Federal Civilian Agencies, and success in hunting for new business.

What you'd actually do

  1. Persistent focus on pipe generation strategies and execution to seed, land and expand new and existing accounts
  2. Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts
  3. Develop and drive the overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned to customer business objectives
  4. Coordinate internal Salesforce resources to meet customer business needs
  5. Perform account planning at assigned accounts, coordinating with Prime and Cloud sales resources to ensure strategic alignment

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of software full cycle sales experience
  • 5+ years of Enterprise sale experience
  • Experience working with/understanding Federal Civilian Agencies
  • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments
